Manuel Parente (PhD, 2015) integrates the team at DiCE@ISISE (University of Minho) as research cluster co-coordinator.
His research is mainly focused on digitalization, AI and machine learning, optimization and real-time monitoring, and applications of these technologies in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, and the construction industry.
He is a member of the Board of the Portuguese Committee on Transportation Geotechnics (Portuguese Geotechnical Society), as well as a national representative in the TC307 “Machine Learning” of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
