INTENT is closing 2025 on a high note

As 2025 draws to an end, it's a good time to take stock of what it meant for the INTENT project.

In 2025, the Team's greatest achievement was the installation and operationalization of the experimental road in Penafiel. This was a massive team effort with all partners syncing to provide a brilliant outcome - no less than 26 sensors of 7 different types were installed in just three days! The data collected since August, with bender elements complemented by smart rocks (at the 11th hour), are exceeding our expectations, with the road deterioration caused by hurricane Cláudia leaving a clear mark on the data.

Apart from this, the Team has published four journal papers, one book chapter, multiple internal reports, and has participated in five national and international conferences. We have also organized one Summer Course and four international courses on SHM, in Portugal, Brazil, Belgium, and the US.

The next year will be the last of the Project (which will close in March 2027), so look forward to many publication / dissemination actions by our Team!
